British police are today questioning three men following a tip-off about a "potential threat".

The trio were arrested yesterday afternoon after anti-terror police in Manchester were alerted to "alleged terrorist activity". A fourth man was arrested for immigration offences.

Police raided two properties, one in Stockport Road and one in Hamilton Road, both in the Longsight district of Manchester.

Police said the arrests were not linked to the recent botched bomb attempts in Glasgow and London.
