Staff at Tesco have accepted a pay deal negotiated between unions and management earlier this month.
The starting rate for workers at the supermarket chain rises from £4.85 to £5.14 an hour, while the top end of the scale rises to £7.52. A long-service increment for staff already on the top rate will increase pay for those qualified up to £7.82 an hour.
Lower rates for workers at 27 provincial outlets have been abolished, while a special under-18 rate of £4.11 an hour will also go, effective from next March.
