British police have released without charge a man arrested on Sunday who claimed to be an active INLA terrorist planning to bomb a pub close to Downing Street.
Scotland Yard yesterday refused to name the 34-year-old man, but confirmed that he was arrested under the provisions of the Prevention of Terrorism Act. The man had given an interview to the News of the World claiming that he was given orders to bomb a pub a few hundred yards from Downing Street and government offices.
