A Clondalkin teenager has been given 18 months' detention by Mr Justice Carney at the Central Criminal Court for his role in gang-raping a then 12-year-old girl in September 1996. The then 13-year-old defendant pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault. He cannot be named to protect the victim's identity.
Two others involved in the crime were previously each given six-year sentences, with two years suspended.
