Teenager arrested over Armagh stabbing

Police arrested a teenager this evening after a man was stabbed in the chest in Co Armagh.

Police arrested a teenager this evening after a man was stabbed in the chest in Co Armagh.

Shortly before midnight, two men aged 21 were attacked in the Taghnevan Drive area of Lurgan, one knifed in the chest and left with a damaged hand.

The other had a head wound and cuts and bruising. Neither is in a life-threatening condition.

The arrested man, aged 19, is suspected of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

In a separate incident, at 2am, two men, aged 24 and 27, were attacked by a man with a bottle in the High Street area of the town. One needed stitches to an eye, the other suffered a hand injury. Detectives appealed for anybody with information to contact them.
