A 33-year-old taxi-driver who used to collect two boys and bring them to his home to sexually abuse them was yesterday jailed for 2 1/2 years.
The father of one, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted sexually assaulting one boy, aged 12, between November 30th, 1996 and July 1st, 1997, in his Co Cork home.
The taxi driver also admitted two offences of gross indecency against another boy, aged 11, also at his home, during dates in September 1997.
The man used to take the calls from the school and collect the boys and bring them to his house where he showed pornographic movies. The abuse had a horrendous effect on both boys, a counsellor told Cork Circuit Criminal Court, where Judge Patrick Moran was sitting.
