Jerusalem - The wreckage of an Israeli submarine that disappeared 31 years ago was discovered yesterday in the Mediterranean off Crete, an Israeli military spokesman said.
An American marine research crew brought up an "essential part" of the craft, he said, adding that an Israeli team has been sent to identify the bodies of the 69 sailors aboard.
