Gardai are still seeking witnesses who might have seen Ms Diver after she left her work in the Coombe Hospital at 9.15 pm. on Monday and drove home towards Walkinstown.

She was found in her car, strangled with a neck tie, at the front gate of Buckleys Builders' Providers shortly before 11 p.m. on Monday night by a security man.

Her killer was seen leaving the car in footage taken from a security camera at the entrance to Buckleys.

Gardai are understood to be confident of making an arrest although no move is expected today.

Detectives are asking anyone who might have seen Ms Diver from the time she left work in the Coombe until she was found dead to ring them at Ronanstown Garda Station, telephone 457 4574.

Ms Diver (42) was married with two children, aged 13 and nine, and lived at Kilnamanagh Road, Walkinstown. She is to be buried today after Mass at the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, in Walkinstown.
