The pound extended its gains versus the euro and the dollar this morning.
The British currency strengthened 0.9 per cent to 93.40 pence per euro as of 8.37am in London, snapping a seven-day decline.
Against the dollar, the pound advanced 1.4 per cent to $1.4186.
