A Nigerian man whose cousin is charged with credit card fraud complained yesterday in court that the State was interfering in their business venture.

Mr John Oluwayose of Devlin Terrace, Dublin 7, said his cousin, Mr Isaac Oluwayose (25), could stay in his house on bail while awaiting trial.

While giving evidence of his address Mr Oluwayose told Judge Gerard Haughton: "It is disgraceful that two Nigerians are treated like this when they come to Ireland to do business."

Mr Isaac Oluwayose is accused of obtaining a credit card by false pretences on September 30th last.
