A man who was shot, stabbed with a knife and slashed with a hatchet during a melee in north Dublin on Monday night had also been shot the previous week, writes Jim Cusack. Mr Anthony Kenny (24) is recovering in Beaumont Hospital after being attacked by three masked men at his house in Snowdrop Walk, Darndale.
Yesterday morning two men suffering from gunshot wounds were also admitted to Beaumont. Two women also received hospital treatment, one for a stab wound in the back and the other with a wound in the face.
Gardai, who believe the incident resulted from a local feud, said yesterday that "none of the injured parties is willing to make a statement."
