A man who alleges he was regularly raped and sexually abused as a child has denied during cross-examination that he was making the allegations as revenge because he hated his father.

The man (20) admitted under cross-examination yesterday that he had met h his father after making allegations on the false premise that he would withdraw his statement because he wanted an apology.

His father (52), who cannot be named for legal reasons, has pleaded not guilty at the Central Criminal Court.

The trial continues before Mr Justice Barry White and a jury.
