Shannonside Winter Music Weekend, Bunratty Castle, Co Clare

For one day only, the Shannonside Winter Music Weekend comes to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park (right). The day of music will be held at the castle and many more locations nearby. It’s a folk festival, a traditional session, a fleadh, a bluegrass hoedown, a blues jam, a céilidh and singers’ sessions all wrapped up in one. The event kicks off at noon and costs €12.

It brings international and Irish artists of exceptional quality to Kilkenny to perform in the medieval city’s many beautiful and historic venues. Tickets cost €15.

Miracle exhibition, Meath

This exhibition comprises a series of paintings of St Patrick’s Cathedral. It opens at the Boyne Art Studio in Navan at 3pm tomorrow and the artwork will be on view until February 3rd from 1pm to 6pm. Tomorrow night also, John G Ryan’s new book, Mystic Moses, will be launched at the venue.

Tuesdays with Morrie, Dublin

This drama is the autobiographical story of American broadcaster Mitch Albom and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor.

Sixteen years after graduation, Albom reconnects with Schwartz after learning that his old teacher is battling Lou Gehrig’s disease.

The play is closing tonight at the Gaiety Theatre. Tickets from €27.65.
