Bruce Springsteen, one of the most popular live acts in the world of rock music, is making a return to Ireland this summer with a one-night-only appearance in Dublin's Point Theatre.

The Devils & Dust tour kicks off in Detroit on April 25th and arrives at The Point on May 24th. A spokeswoman for Aiken promoters said: "This time he has gone only for indoor, more intimate venues. He is a huge draw and we would expect a sell- out but then, you never know."

Two years ago, Springsteen played with the E Street Band to 35,000 at the RDS in Dublin. This will be his first solo tour since The Ghost of Tom Joad tour in 1996-97, and coincides with the release of his 19th album, Devils & Dust, on April 26th.

Tickets for the Dublin concert go on sale at 9am on Thursday from Ticketmaster and usual outlets, priced from €70-€85.
