Smurfit Print based in Glasnevin, Dublin today announced it will cease trading with the loss of 118 jobs.
In a statement the company said the closure was due to a serious reduction in the demand for print, caused by a major downturn in the Irish hi-tech sector.
The employees were informed of the decision last Tuesday and will now enter severance talks with the company.
Smurfit Print UK will not be affected.
