Mental Health nurses in Sligo have been given the go-ahead for an all-out strike from next weekend in a dispute with the North Western Health Board over working rosters.
The nurses, all members of SIPTU, have been on an unofficial work-to-rule since last Monday.
If the strike goes ahead, 170 nurses and 60 laundry and maintenance workers at St Columba's Psychiatric Hospital will be affected.
It is claimed that the strike comes as the result of a history of management breaches of agreements.
