Six crew rescued off Wexford coast

Six crew members were rescued from an Irish fishing vessel which got into difficulties off the Wexford Coast last night.

Six crew members were rescued from an Irish fishing vessel which got into difficulties off the Wexford Coast last night.

The crew, belonging to the Skerries-based   Darnettewere rescued by the Suzanna-Gtrawler at around 10.30 last night after issuing a mayday at around 21.20.

The crew was then taken to Dunmore East, Co Waterford.

The Naval Vessel LE Eithne went to the scene where the  Darnettewas stranded - approximately 47 miles South-West of Tuskar Rock and naval crew were due to board the unmanned vessel for return at first light this morning.
