Four teenaged males and two women have been arrested by gardai in Limerick city investigating a series of recent shootings in the Moyross estate.
The arrests were made following a series of raids in the estate city this evening. Two handguns and a quantity of ammunition were seized in the raids.
The males are aged from 16 to 19 and the two women are in their twenties.
They are being questioned at a number of city centre Garda Stations night under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, under which they can be held for 72 hours.
