Dublin gardai are investigating a shot fired into the house of a criminal figure writes Jim Cusack Security Editor.
The man, who was once an associate of the criminal Martin Cahill, has been attacked before by criminals and by the IRA. There was an attempt on his life in a pub three years ago.
The shot was fired at 11.15 p.m. on Monday night. It passed over the head of the man's son.
