The Hague - A Bosnian Serb officer who turned himself in to the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague this week is to appear before the court next Tuesday to face charges of crimes against humanity and war crimes, the tribunal announced yesterday. Maj Dragan Jokic (43) was the chief engineer of the Zvornik Brigade which played a leading role in the assault on the Muslim enclave in Srebrenica, Bosnia, in 1995.

He has been questioned by war crimes prosecutors on the massacres that followed.
