Gardaí are continuning to question man in connection to a serious assault in Sligo town during the week.
The 29-year-old man was arrested in the town last night and is currently being held in Manorhamilton Garda station under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.
A 28-year-old man arrested on Friday night was released without charge earlier today.
The men were arrested in connection with a serious assault on a 60-year-old man in the early hours of Thursday in the Cartron Point area of the town.

The victim was taken to Sligo General Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
