Media group Scottish Radio Holdings (SRH) has added the Longford Leaderto its growing portfolio of Irish regional newspapers.
SRH said today it has bought the paper for €9.1 million.
The Longford Leaderwas established in 1897 and serves the counties of Longford, Cavan, Leitrim, Westmeath and Roscommon.
SRH already publishes the Kilkenny People, Tipperary Starand the Leitrim Observer. Other interests include the independent national radio station Today FM.
