ON THE last day of Junior Cert exams, both Italian papers were "student friendly", Ms Maura McCarthy, an Italian teacher at St Joseph's College, Lucan, Co Dublin, and president of the Italian Teachers Association, said. The tape for both levels was fine, as was the pace. The students were "very happy with it", she said.
The higherlevel paper "was demanding but they would have been well able to do it", she said.
"It was one of the nicest papers I have seen in a long time." There was nothing unusual in the written comprehension section, she added.
There was also nothing ambiguous in the ordinary level paper, she said.
