The credibility of a planned yoga centre for business people will be damaged if a tenancy deal is allowed to fall through, Dublin Circuit Civil Court was told.
Dr Stephen Barcroft, owner of the Dublin Tutorial Centre in Upper Mount Street, Dublin, was ordered yesterday not to renege on a 16 week lease of rooms to the Dublin Yoga Centre.
Mr Eoin McCullough, counsel for Mr Bruno Deitziker, of Haddington Park, Glenageary, and Ms Mary Duane, said they had signed an agreement with Dr Barcroft, but he now said he had no right to sublet the rooms without the approval of his landlord. Dr Barcroft was in financial difficulties and owed his landlord £25,000 in rent arrears.
The Circuit Court President, Mr Justice Spain, said it seemed that great damage would be done to the plaintiffs if he did not grant the injunction.
