Legal argument has continued in the jurors' absence since February 10th, when the trial judge, Mr Justice Patrick Smith, told them there were legal matters he had to resolve in their absence.

Anna Maria Sacco (22), of Riversdale Park, Kimmage, Dublin, denies the murder of her husband, Franco Sacco (29), at their home in Coolamber Park, Templeogue, on March 20th, 1997.

The jury has already heard that Mr Sacco was shot dead with a double-barrelled sporting shotgun.

A fifteen-year-old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, fired the shot that killed Mr Sacco.

The State alleges that Anna Maria Sacco directed or orchestrated the killing, an allegation which Ms Sacco denies.
