A South African court has ordered the eviction of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela from the Soweto house she used to shared with her former husband Nelson Mandela, the Saturday Star reported.
The four-roomed home she and Mr Mandela rented before he began serving 27 years in apartheid jails is now a museum. The former South African president bought the house soon after his release in 1990 and bequeathed it to the Soweto Heritage Foundation in 1997.
The house attracts tourists, who are charged a 20 rand (€2.30) entrance fee.
Ms Madikizela-Mandela went to court to challenge her former husband's purchase of the house from Soweto's metropolitan council and its transfer to the foundation.
But Judge Pieter Pauw ordered her eviction from the house, which Ms Madikizela-Mandela still uses to conduct some of her business dealings.
