London - Hospital staff yesterday attacked a decision to reopen a disused ward to house illegal immigrants. Nurses and other workers at the Joyce Green Hospital in Dartford, Kent, said they were "disgusted and upset" that the ward was being used to accommodate 28 Romanian women and their children.
The women and children were among 103 Romanian gypsies found hidden in a single lorry at the Dartford freight terminal on December 3rd.
