LONDON - Millions of women in developing countries risk death from unwanted pregnancies and illegal abortions because only one in 10 adults has access to birth control, a British-based charity said yesterday.

League tables published on the UN's World Population Day by Marie Stopes International showed that in 18 countries, most of them in Africa, 10 per cent or less of the adult population used birth control.
