The Garda investigation into the death of a Cork schoolgirl, Bernadette O'Brien (16), at the Smashing Pumpkins concert in the Point Depot last May will be complete next week. A decision will then be taken whether to refer the case to the DPP. At this stage, it appears unlikely that any criminal prosecution will follow from the investigation.
A copy of the report will be sent to the coroner and the inquest into the death of the teenager will take place towards the end of September.
