Gardaí have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses to a fatal road crash in Galway. Dympna Folan (35) died when her car was involved in a collision with a bus on May 16th on the coast road between the city and Oranmore.

Gardaí appealed to passengers who were on the bus to come forward to help them with their investigation. “We are anxious to talk to any passengers who were on the bus,” the Garda said. Anyone who was at the scene and has yet to come forward is asked to contact Galway Garda station.

Ms Folan, who had three young children, was alone in the car when it collided with the bus travelling towards Galway city at 10.30am. Gardaí have asked for any witnesses to contact them at Galway Garda station, Mill Street, or to telephone them at 091-538000.
