Reject pay deal, says Mandate

The State's second largest union, Mandate, has recommended rejection of the new national pay deal, Partnership 2000, to its 30,000 members.

The general secretary, Mr Owen Nulty, said one of the main reasons delegates recommended a No vote was "because of the amount of casual and part time workers we have as members". He said many of the conference delegates "feel that these people are not well entered for in the deal".
