Nottingham Forest's Andy Reid will make his senior international debut tonight in Brian Kerrs' attacking line-up as the Republic of Ireland take on Canada at Lansdowne Road.
Reid is part of a midfield alongside Damien Duff (Chelsea), Steven Reid (Blackburn Rovers) and Graham Kavanagh (Cardiff City) as Ireland look for a confidence boosting victory after last month's failure to qualify for the European Championships.
How the midfield will line-up is still a mystery with Kerr only naming the starting XI, though yesterday, he insisted that Ireland would line-up 4-4-2 and it is expected that Steven Reid will start on the right wing with Andy Reid on the left and Duff partnering Kavanagh in the centre.
In attack, Robbie Keane will be partnered by his Tottenham Hotspur club mate Gary Doherty.
Richard Dunne (Manchester City) and Kenny Cunningham (Birmingham City) will start in defence with Stephen Carr (Tottenham Hotspur) and John O'Shea (Manchester United) at full back and Shay Given (Newcastle United) in goal.
