SUSPECT CASEA suspect case will have a high temperature (more than 38 degrees Celsius) and one or more of these symptoms: cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing and close contact with a person with SARS or have travelled within 10 days before onset of symptoms to a SARS endemic area.

PROBABLE CASE

A probable case is a suspect who also has a chest X-ray findings of atypical pneumonia or of respiratory distress syndrome.
