Dushanbe - Tajikistan's government said yesterday its forces had surrounded rebel troops 190 miles north of the capital during fighting which has cost 89 lives in two days. Mr Zafar Saidov, a spokesman for President Imomali Rakhmonov, said: "The regional centre of Khudzhand is again completely controlled by the government of Tajikistan."
