A former nightclub owner has told a rape trial at the Central Criminal Court that he saw the complainant in the company of the accused man after the Alleged incident. He said the alleged victim came into the club on a few occasions in September 1996 when the accused man, a 29-year-old Jamaican, was working as a doorman.

The man has pleaded not guilty to rape, anal rape and assault of his former girlfriend in their flat on August 25th, 1996. He has admitted biting her on the back on September 12th, 1996.

The witness yesterday said that one time they had a row and he told them to take it elsewhere. Another time he saw them having a drink together. After the doorman had stopped working there, she asked for help to get back items she claimed the accused had stolen from her.

She said her former boy- friend had hit her, made her pregnant and did not want any- thing more to do with her. The witness advised her that she should not see him again and that she could go to the gardai.

Earlier, she denied she had contact with the accused man at the club after the alleged rape.
