Punishment beatings increase

There has been a sharp rise in punishment beatings in the North. In a written reply in the House of Commons, a Northern Ireland Minister, Sir John Wheeler, said there had been 276 punishment beatings between January 1st and November 25th. In 1995 there were 217 recorded punishment beatings.
