One man was shot in both ankles yesterday afternoon in Ballymurphy, west Belfast. On Monday night a 17-yearold was shot in both legs in north Belfast. A man aged 22 was shot in one leg on Monday night in south Belfast. A 17-year-old Derry youth was attacked by three masked men armed with hammers and iron bars in Ederowen Park on Monday night.

The RUC in Downpatrick, Co Down, arrested a man aged 22 on Monday night. Ammunition and a stolen Mercedes car were found.
