Police investigating serious sectarian street violence in Belfast have made a number of arrests.
Officers who swooped on houses on both sides of the sectarian divide in the east of the city detained three men.
The arrests were connected with public disorder which erupted in the staunchly nationalist Short Strand district on May 11th and 12th.
The area has been at the centre of bitter rioting between Catholic and Protestant mobs across a peaceline on the nearby Newtownards Road.
