Christopher Sheals (30) is serving a life sentence at Maghaberry Prison near Lisburn, Co Antrim, for the Belfast band hall killing of Margaret Wright in 1994.

Sheals had claimed he was not allowed to watch communal TV because he was in solitary confinement for his own safety following death threats.

After his request for his own TV was turned down he applied for a judicial review in the High Court in Belfast.
