LONDON - A two hour secret meeting between Diana, Princess of Wales, and a television journalist has started rumours that the princess might be planning another interview to succeed her 1995 Panorama appearance.
But a spokesman for the princess rejected suggestions that the meeting with Martin Bashir, who conducted her interview for the BBC's current affairs programme, meant she was considering making another television programme with him.
More than 20 million viewers in Britain alone were said to have watched the interview, shown in November 1995, in which the princess talked about her marriage problems and her adultery with cavalry officer James Hewitt. It was seen as making a royal divorce inevitable.
