A closing bogey - his first in 50 holes - gave Price a 68 and 15 under par total of 201.

Poulter saved par from 10 feet at the last for a 67 and is two shots ahead of the trio in joint third place - 21-year-old Justin Rose, Worthing's Gary Evans and Dane Soren Hansen.

Rose had a sparkling 65 and is chasing his fourth win of the season, but like Price and Poulter his first on European soil.
