The President began a 10-day visit to Honduras and Mexico yesterday.
Mrs McAleese will be in the Honduran capital, Tegucigalpa, today to inspect the recent hurricane damage and meet Irish aid workers.
On Easter Monday she will meet the President of Mexico, Mr Ernesto Zedillo, for the signing of two agreements of co-operation between Ireland and Mexico.
