A handbook offering advice and information to employers and staff about pregnancy at work was launched yesterday by the Minister of State for Labour Affairs, Ms Eithne Fitzgerald. The Pregnant At Work publication is a guide to the 1994 Pregnant Employees Regulations which require that appropriate safeguards are taken at work during and immediately after pregnancy to ensure the safety of mothers and babies.
