The captain of a British Airways Concorde bound for New York delayed take-off at Heathrow airport in London today over a possible engine problem, an airline spokesman said.
The flight was briefly held up when the captain of the plane, which was already on the runway, asked for more checks.
He suspected there might have been a problem with one of the engine reheats. We always err of the side of caution, the spokesman said.
The aircraft took off normally and safely 20 minutes later than scheduled.
