Poland's prime minister Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz is likely to submit his formal resignation on Monday, a spokesman for the ruling conservative party said today.
Mr Marcinkiewicz offered to step down yesterday following growing tensions with his Law and Justice party and its leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski, twin brother of President Lech Kaczynski.
"I think Prime Minister Marcinkiewicz will submit his resignation to the president on Monday and then the president will ask chairman Kaczynski to start building a new government," Adam Bielan told TVN 24 channel.
