Police in Derry have seized ecstasy tablets with a street value of £50,000 sterling after they searched a vehicle in Derry.

Police in Derry have seized ecstasy tablets with a street value of £50,000 sterling after they searched a vehicle in Derry.

The drugs were discovered by officers in a

woman's handbag, a police spokesman said.

Police, who were on duty in the Altnagelvin Hospital area of the city when they made the discovery, arrested a local woman who they said was being questioned.
