Gardaí are investigating a pipe-bomb attack on a house in west Dublin this morning.

The device was thrown at the property on Deansrath Grove, Clondalkin, at about 1.55am. The front door of the house, which was occupied at the time, was damaged. No one was injured.

The scene has been preserved pending a technical examination.

A number of people were seen leaving the scene, and gardaí at Clondalkin station are appealing for information on 6667600 or on the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666111.
