Peru's entire cabinet has submitted resignations to President Alejandro Toledo, Labor Mr Minister Fernando Villaran said today.
The Cabinet was due to present its resignation at the end of the month in a traditional twice yearly gesture which is usually a formality.
This year, however, Mr Toledo is expected to accept many resignations and to make significant changes.
Mr Toledo, who marks his first year in office on July 28th, is fighting a crisis of credibility after failing to deliver on election campaign pledges of more jobs and prosperity. His rating is down to less than 16 per cent in opinion polls .
