FEELING fit and cheerful, Mother Teresa (86) is pressing to leave hospital. But doctors said yesterday she must first regain more strength after her two-week fight against malaria and pneumonia.

"She is pressing us everyday to release her," said S.K. Sen, medical director at Calcutta's Woodlands Nursing Home.

"It is virtually a tug of war every day, and every day we are telling her that we are going to release her tomorrow," the doctor said.

Princess Diana had to dip into her reported £17 million divorce settlement to pay in cash for two lipsticks when her credit card was rejected, the Sun has reported.

The tabloid said Diana, whose divorce became final last week, looked furious as her card was turned down twice for the £24 payment.
