THE CLASSIC Edwardian tale, The Railway Children, starring Jenny Agutter, has been re shot from the original negative and re released at London's Barbican Cinema.
The British film - first released in 1970 - was directed by Lionel Jeffries.
An investigation into possible tax evasion by Steffi Graf (27) was dropped by prosecutors yesterday. She has been ordered to pay a sum of money to charity a procedure often used by German prosecutors to end a case which they do not believe merits a lengthy court action.
The decision came only months after her father Peter (58) was jailed for over six years for tax evasion.
Russian cellist and conductor Mstislav Rostropovich, who turns 70 today, has been honoured with a new award by Russian President Boris Yeltsin for "merit to the Fatherland."
Rostropovich, who left Russia under the Soviet regime but returned to join Yeltsin defending the Russian parliament against a coup in 1991, will celebrate his birthday with a private concert at the Champs Elysees Theatre in Paris.
